TRACY COSTELLO

If I had to describe my style, I guess that ‘up close and personal’ sums it up - I want the viewer to connect with the subject – to “get” what my subject is feeling at that moment. While portraits were my original passion, I developed a love for macro. Except for roaches and mosquitoes, I now actively search for bugs and weeds; something I never thought I would do. I want to show you that everything has beauty if you can simply stop and take in what makes it unique.

My photos have garnered recognition from an array of outlets, including Nat Geo Your Shot (Daily Dozen feature!), Instagram, photo.net, and YouPic, and I have also contributed to Austin Way Magazine.  In March 2018, I was invited to contribute and display my work in 11 Women Photographers at The Grackle Art Gallery in Fort Worth; in July 2018, I was invited to contribute and display my work in Portraits:  Masked/Unmasked curated by Barbara Koerble at The Fort Worth Community Arts Center; in January 2019, I was invited to contribute and display my work in the 2019 People’s Gallery Exhibition at Austin City Hall; in March 2022, I was invited to contribute to the Fauna exhibit at Inspired Minds Art Center in Buda; and in June 2022, I was invited to contribute to the People’s Gallery Exhibition at Austin City Hall.
